I'm Being Sentimental

Well, being back in Arizona has made me all sentimental about Tucson...I mean, I've spent my entire life here, and it's really special to me, I guess. Not to say that I don't miss Hillsdale, because I do. I love my friends there and I love the snow, I love autumn, and taking walks in the fall and hearing the leaves crunch under your feet, but I also appreciate everything here. So I decided to post these pictures on behalf of all my Hillsdale friends who've never been here so they can see the unique beauty of Arizona, and for those of us who do live here, it's always a good thing to appreciate what we have. I'm sorry there are so many pictures, I just was captured by the beauty of them all that I couldn't eliminate any. Most of the photo credits belong to my mom.
A famous Arizona sunset. This is what I miss when I'm in Hillsdale. Notice the reindeer Jack in the Box thing on the right hand side. Ha.
So this isn't so pretty, but it's Arizona...we get excited when there's any water in the washes whatsoever. Still, the mountains and the sky are beautiful as always.
Another beautiful sunset.
An Arizona sunrise.
Lots of people do this here for Christmas decorations. I think it's awesome. Kind of cute, actually.
This is a view from the backyard of my old house...notice the snow on the mountains all you non-Arizonans.
The foothills...northeast Tucson.

A dead saguaro cactus. Those things are so cool...and unique to the Sonoran Desert.

Another sunrise.
A view of the mountains from Kolb just north of Speedway.
*Sigh* An amazing sunset.
A picture showing how small mesquite tree leaves really are.
A view of the Catalinas over PF Chang's. My mom used to work across the street from there.

A sunset...taken while driving on I-10.
That's on I-10 too. That's me in the mirror, taking a picture of the fields...we have cotton fields in Arizona...nothing cool like the corn fields in MI.
Don't know where this was taken, but it's so cool seeing rainbows when it's not raining anymore and the sky is blue and the sun is shining :)
A view of the sun coming out after a storm. Taken on Speedway just west of Wilmot.
A picture of the storm (a monsoon storm) coming in over the Catalinas. Taken from my brother's house.
The honors dorm at the U of A, where my brother lived.
A picture of the storm moving in.
Another sunset.
Another rainbow. Taken from the front yard of my old house.
